Sustainability and Responsible Leadership Class – Project Ideas needed

Hello Everyone.

Just a quick announcement and ask for assistance as I have recently accepted a position at CEIBS as an Assistant Professor, and beginning in September I will be teaching a 1 year project based class called Sustainability and Responsible Leadership at CEIBS.

Part of the core curriculum (required for graduation), all 250 students will begin their fist semester with a more traditional academic research project, and at the end, they will submit a research paper of about 30 pages on the issue that will include stakeholder analysis, regulatory overview, current practices, etc. through this process they will then identify an organization that they will partner with for the second semester, a partnership that will result in a socially responsible business plan, product, or service in May.

In planning for the semester, I am trying to develop a list of topics that the students can dive straight into by leveraging members of the community (Business, NGO, and government), and I was hoping that you might have some project ideas for the class.

There will be roughly 40 teams of 6, and while I have put together a list of 30 topics already, I am in need of more. so, any ideas that you may have would be much appreciated!

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

I suggest taking advantage of the resources at the Aspen Institute’s Centre for Business Education: http://www.aspencbe.org/ If you get in touch with them, they will be happy to help you with curriculum development. Good luck!
